Where to find best eats in Hong Kong

Yelp is my go-to when deciding on restaurants to visit. If a restaurant doesn’t have at least 4 stars, I hesitate going. If you’re like me, you rely on ratings because there’s only so many meals in a day and you want each one to be worthwhile! Especially if you’re traveling and you get to visit only a handful of restaurants.  Well, when in Hong Kong, the site that everyone uses is OpenRice!

“Open rice” is a literal translation from a phrase in Chinese that means to eat / to start a meal. They started in 1999 and used to only be in Chinese. They expanded to include English to accommodate all the non-Chinese speaking Hong Kongers and foreign residents of Hong Kong.  They have also expanded to many more Asian countries such as Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, China, and Thailand.
